This album features many Christmas favourites by members of Walter’s famous original band. Recorded at Jack Richardson’s Soundstage Studios in Yorkville, Toronto by producer Greg Hambleton in 1975, musicians include Walter Ostanek (Accordian), Murray McFadgen (Vocals), Vil Clemitis (drums), Ken Cenko (Guitar/Banjo), Roy Bice (Sax) & Ron Podio (Bass).

The Walter Ostanek Band plays Cleveland-style polka with a pared-down band of accordion, guitar or banjo, bass and drums, plus a horn player who alternates on clarinet, tenor saxophone, and flute. The Cleveland style draws heavily on the traditional polkas of Slovenia.

Touring the world from Rio De Janeiro to Slovenia and an invited guest on TV shows hosted by Johnny Carson and Phil Donahue, Walter Ostanek, winner of 3 Grammys, over the years has collected an impressive number of awards and credits, gaining a solid reputation as one of the most entertaining and crowd pleasing musicians in any musical format.
